An Inconvenient Truth
Before you turn away from reading thinking this is a movie review. Don't.. because I know that a lot of people can write better reviews then I can.. But we have something to deal with, something important… Read on if you care..
Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb. If the vast majority of the world's scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tail-spin of epic destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced.
This is our planet, this is the only place we can live on. You might think that the "end of the world" might be far away but the fact is that it is just around the corner. It is closer then you think, its coming sooner then you want it to. We've been avoiding the problem long enough. Its time to make a change, its time to save the world that is so fragile and valnurable.
You might as yourself… What can I do? My contribution will not make such big difference to the world anyway. After all I am just a ordinary individual…
You sure thats right? Imagine if everyone else have your mentality? What can we achieve? .. Yes u got it.. NOTHING.. What if everyone tries to do a small part.. 1000 small part can form 1 big part. The power of unity can be quite significant.
So what can you do to play your part in saving the world?
At home or when you are on the move..you might think of..
1. Use more energy efficient light bulb
2. Choose energy efficient appliances
3. Use less hot water - shorter shower ( wei jia?)
4. Turn off electronic device when not in use
5. Plant a tree… PLANT A LOT OF TREES!
6. Don't drive when you don't have to (this is for me…)
I don't know what kind of world you want to live in in 50 years time, I know that I want an environment that still has nice green lawn, great beaches and nice weather.
I want to leave you with this..
What have you got to lose if you TRY to help make a difference, but think again.. What have you got to lose if you DON'T..

there’s this newspaper going around, saying:”Global Warming is a fraud”

Given the length of time human beings have spent on the planet in contrast to the age of the planet, there is no definate answer to whether global warming exists or whether its not just part of one of the planet’s natural weather patterns.
I dont know if i believe it exists or not, but all the evidence seems to suggest at this point in time the planet is getting warmer!
