speaking of harry potter… just saw the current affairs article on him today about him being in a new movie. the contravorsy lies behind the fact that he will be doing a nude scene.
there were many compliants from parents saying that he shouldn’t because he is a child star and will be forever linked with harry potter. they don’t want their li’l kiddies to google ‘harry potter’ or ‘daniel radcliffe’ and be instantly given links leading to lord voldermont’s (i can’t spell that man’s name, i know) most despised enemy’s weener.
another email flew in saying that the idea just didn’t sit well with them (the emailers).
come to think of it, it wouldn’t sit well with me either. i mean, i don’t want to be in the situation where my favourite kiddies’ films will be ruined by images of the actors doing the dirty. imagine how bad moulin rouge would be… and snow white… and… you get the point.
but at the same time, you can’t expect these people to forever stay young… they’re going to grow up one day, no? it would be unfair to expect them to stay innocent and pure just for the sake of your kids’ innocence.
nicki webster (strawberry kisses…) appeared in that show too… man, she looks soooo different now.
shit, i just realised i’ve been referring to daniel radcliffe as ‘harry potter’ all along… great way to render an argument moot, no? haha.
