Flashback

Friday, December 29th, 2006

A whole new year is approaching. 2007, so close yet so far, feels so familiar yet so strange. Well, for some it might just be another year for some it might be more then that but no matter which category you falls in, we are going through the same process!

To be honest, so much happened in 2006 and looking back at it now it seems to be one of the most interesting years of my life. The year 2002 might have totally ruled my life and by far the BEST ever year I had but 2006 might be just on par with it. It might not be as EXCITING, it might not be as TRILLING, it might not be as ADVENTUROUS. Nonetheless, I've learnt a lot more about everything. Whats everything? Well, its EVERYTHING.

Lets all start from the beginning of 2006 shall we. This year started to be rather boring and plain. Nothing was going as well as I anticipated because I just came back from Malaysia and two weeks in Msia (including Spore and Thai that took up half the trip) was so so much better then one whole year in Perth. But again, this is where I call HOME now and I suppose I should be happy. Furthermore my 2005 Christmas was SKY HIGH! Why is that? because I headed back to Perth from Msia on Christmas day itself.

January was pretty boring, other then missing friends from Malaysia and also trying to get a relationship to work out. Well, it did work out in the end but it didnt lasts very long. Things werent as easy as we though, it was just too hard but lets not go thr shall we.

February, it was drawing close to start of uni. What more to say? Its new to me! I was excited, its a totally new environment and round this time i got my 1st job at Han's cafe too. Wasnt a great job but it was my 1st proper job and im not complaining much :)

Thinking back March was rather crazy, the things that happened, stuff that I've done was quite bizarre. How much I would do just to please someone. How things can happen so quickly. Before I knew it came April. It was so long ago I cant even remember much, most i can remember was that it was one of the two months that i was actually SINGLE hahah.. well SHHH but yeh, i told myself i wont get into a relationship for ____ months :P but it never work!

May, thats when I met irene :P but i wont get into more details right now and wont go into much details later either. June, July, August, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec… rest of the year.. I wont even bother summarising them because so much happened and I will just bore people out with the details.

Just wanna thank the amazing people that came into my life or continue being part of me for the past year(s). you know who your are and YES if ur thinkin whether if you are one of them, you probably is. I've change a lot this year, I've learnt so much from everyone.

I will come out with a better entry round new year. Im way too tired now. I just misses everyone of you. Everyone is so far away. I hope the distance between us are much more closer then it is now.

Sigh…

Anyhow! Take care

keni’s 2 cents on mail-posting

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Just a few quick tips to remember every time you try to post something. Let it be a parcel or a letter. Its something worth remembering as it will ensure that your letter reach it's destination sound and safe!

1. Stamps. If you think that you can get away with sending a letter without stamp, you probably could do that. BUT please, just do yourself a favor? 50 cents worth wont harm that much would it?

2. Stamps. Alright, this is a major one. If you are sticking some stamps on your letter just make sure that its sticked properly. Dont just lick half the stamp and then try to stick it on with the edges flapping around. Letters goes into mail bags, mail bags usually contain 1000 of mails. Dont be suprise if your stamp end up to be missing at the end.

3. Address. For god sake.. Neat writing please! If your writing is soo messy that it looks like gibberish to the person sorting the mail, your mail is bound to be delayed or RTS (returned to sender) other then that try not to put Canberra, WA or Canning Vale 3125 VIC (im not kidding, these are some of the real life expmples…) Canberra is not in WA and Canning Vale's postcode is 6155 not 3125. Get them right or a letter from you to your next door neighbour could take months before it arrives

4. Size. Please please please dont send a card that is BLODDY small. I've seen card that is 3inches by 2inches in size. Whats more it is an international mail. Please, use your common sense. Something that small will go missing in no time. If you are spending almost two dollars to send a letter/card overseas, just make yourself and others feel better. Send a bigger card.. at least it does not looks like you are one stingy fella.

5. Keep it thin. Technology these days allows 30 000 mail to be processed every hour. HOWEVER if you have letters with candy canes in it, cards which have things poking out of it etc. – Those cards are not going to go through the machine.. NO not at all. It will all end up being hand sorted and you know what? Hand sorter make mistakes and when they do a mail thats sent to AUSTRIA (from UK) can end up in WA. Im not bullshitting on this one, I was lookin at this mail, sent from the UK right in my hand while it should hv been in AUSTRIA (handwriting problem too)

6. Shape. Oh please.. letters are rectangular in shape and no larger then, well.. the normal sized letters. When you get a card. Try getting one that is similiar to that size. It would make your life a lot easier (well makes the mail office life a lot more easier too) when they are happy, your mail will get delivered quicker! Dont buy odd shapes cards. They are not easy to sort and no one likes them (FULL STOP)

7. Urgency. if your mail is urgent. Use EXPRESS POST. Thats why its there. Dont write a big ass URGENT on the front of the mail and expecting a better service from the mail man. Auspost is a business organisation not a charity.

8. Parcels in general. if you are sending something heavy or big. PLEASE do not use normal envelope… once they are chucked around abit they RIPPED and then everything inside will fall out. IF you are lucky, they will fix it up if they can find all the bits, or else its pretty much it… so spend a little more money and get one of those tough bags or padded envelope

9. I cant think of anymore for now but when i do think of something i will keep updating it.

Remember, you can make other's life easier by doing few small things….

Speaks of Unlucky-ness

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

Well, If you havent already read the previous post about First Driving Accident? (just click on the link if you haven't)

I was pretty worried about the front axle and stuff like that so i decided to take it down to the local tyre shop for a wheel alignment check. Before I went there I dropped by few wracker to see if they have any rims replacements by any chance but i suppose im no way in luck so oh well!  – Guess I'd have to survive without a spare tyre… you'd think that would be alrite but read on and you can prove me absolutely wrong on the previous statement i made..

I went to Ian Diffen The Tyre Shop down at Canning Vale to get my alignment checked. Everything went alright, lucky nothing else was broken so Im a very happy man as you can tell!

Well I was waiting happily for my car to be fixed while enjoying those pretty mags in there too! I want some of thoseeee but hey that will come later..

So after its all done…. I decided to go down to the toyota shop to check and see if they have any steel rims in stock or at least get a price 1st. On my way there, I heard this fucking loud POP on the back of my car. 1st instinct i thot i hit something then it hit bounced off the bottom of my car therefore it made a huge BANG or POP if u like. I kept on driving…got to the Toyota place…

Thinking I would only have to dig out max of 100 bucks for that ugly looking piece of shit…. The guy quoted me a whopping AUD 275 for a bloddy BLACK UGLY LOOKING STEEL RIMS (if u wanna know how they look like.. look at my previous post.. if u see a black chunk of metal tht is circle thats the thing im talking about)

BLODDY HELL! $275 i could get a nice 18inch AFTERMARKET ALLOY… not a shitty looking steel wheel that dent when u hit a ******** kerb…

Alright enough of the angry-ness.. So before leaving the store, I decided to pay my back tyre a visit making sure that nohting happened to it but guess what….

flat-medium.jpg

THIS HAPPENED…. cant tell? well THE TYRE IS FLAT! (image taken off some random site.. thats not my wheel nor my car)

ARGH! you feel what i feel? ANGER? yes i know you do… So I went back to the tyre shop and the manager and this chick there just CRACKED UP after telling them the story….

Well I suppose it was alrite as they didnt charge me anything to get tht tyre fixed and it would hv cost me $15 for that i think.

So.. the moral of the story is… BAD things comes in THREE and TWO of them already occurred, freggin SIT TIGHT and be prepare for the third…

Actually, thats not the moral of the story… There isnt any moral in this whole event i suppose all you can learn from is that

1. Watch out for stupid cars that stop in the middle of the road for nothing…

2. Watch for shit on the road and dont drive over it, even if you have to just make sure you have a working SPARE TYRES (i dont have a proper spare tyre now, if my tyres go off its pretty much it.. CALL RAC i suppose…

3. Be nice and go back to the shop for the 2nd time and you wont have to pay for the extra service…

4. Just… beware….

Thats all for today….

Kenneth…signing out….
