Last Day Of Year 12 ++

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Omg.. how can I start this.. I have sooo much to say but yet I would love to keep it really nice n short.. Thou the title feature the “Last Day of Year 12″ but I would like to talk about what happened in the last week of year 12.

Yesterday (Thursday) was the unofficial last day of school but as well it was the official last day of teaching and periods following proper timetable. What I can remember most during the day was in private study.. LOL those who are “involved” or in errey’s study session you will know what I mean and to Tiffany (if you ever read this, prob u wont :P) haha sorry bout that but I guess it was fun in a way and nice way to end *wink* LOL! but yeh.. I alone emptied 6 bottle of water on tiff and as well all the tennis balls that are aiming @ her :) so yeh.. she had to dodge for the ball and dodge for my bottles and bottles and water ahah… ended up soaking wet and I believe she would have had a pretty cold n wet day haha.. (poor thing was stuck in the toilet for 15 - 20 mins)

Last night, ok not muck up night yet.. to the dinner 1st, although it was suppose to be in the gym (which is still not completed but we were promised that it would’ve been due back in March 2005) well I don’t really care, the auditorium wasn’t that bad but its just rather small for 250++ people to fit in there thou I had a good night I guess.. Wasn’t that boring but wasn’t that interesting either so it was a 50 - 50 mix…

Ok, to the intense moment of muck up night :) I have to say if arrived rather late (people already started tier “job”) and I have to say that they looked absolutely wiccckeeed.

**Sorry I don’t have any photos for you now but I will dig some out from other people and hopefully put them up here sometime soon**

but yeh we had glad wrap all over the place (Tim alone bought 1.25km worth of it and I think other people had around 1 km which adds up to roughly 3km ++ of glad wrap) so that was one and we had toilet rolls and shaving cream all over the place which looked great (not mentioning the cough tampon cough hanging from the trees). OH YEH! I have to say that one of the best thing we’ve done would be involving this concrete roller thing that weight around 2 tons (that’s 2000kg for those of you who don’t like maths :P) but that HEAVY S*** was sooo heavy that it took around 15 of us to move it.. We spent 45 mins.. moving that thing from the oval all the way to the middle of the school (which was roughly 200 - 300m) Tough journey, between that we pushed it into a small bush which sorta stopped us, Dave Webster almost fall under it and got himself crushed, and also poor Chris that got his toe ran over by the thing *ouch* but it was great..

Summary of muck-up-night activity (more photos coming soon)

1. Toilet rolls everywhere (around trees, roof, bus, everywhere)!

2.Glad wrap around trees, buildings, people *cough* Amy *cough*, principal’s car :P, roads leading to car park)

3. HUGE roll of paper which goes around the school (one huge piece of paper that does not cut off or stop :) )
4. Tampon hanging on the trees :S rightio! lets not go there.. but they are clean
5. 1000 forks on the lawn - yayness.. looks much better then what you see in the photo

6. Roadwork cones on the roof
7. Bin in the basketball hoop

8. Moved a 2 tons (2000kg) concrete roller - 300m in distance (TEAMWORK!))

9. Photos everywhere
10. Shaving cream on door handle
11. Discipline slips (teacher’s name on them) - scattered everywhere
12. More Roadwork equipments >_<
13. and more.. I cant really remember anymore..

The principal came around at 1 in the morning and of course we gave him a little tour around but to our surprise a cleaner of some sort came in around 4 in the morning and CLEANED IT ALL UP!? Omg how could he have done that to us.. 3 hours worth of work are all gone and no one get to see it.. NO ONE GOT TO SEE THEM! Its sooooo unfair but I guess we did the right thing and did not do anything permanent to the school which was good :)
Well now.. reached home around 1.30.. went to bed at 2 in the morning (ok now my english makes no sense - I just realised) but anyway.. when Sam called me @ 6.30 telling me that he is @ my doorstep! I was still asleep and man I can tell you, it was crazy! I had to do what usually takes me 30 mins in 5 mins.. lol it was funny but lucky I was slightly more organised then I thought :P —- Breakfast @ Sheraton hotel around 7.30 (well that’s when we arrived) but it was good then went back to school at 10 after stopping by at Livingstone to get some water balloons n stuff..

Had a huge water fight (once again.. haha cant get enough of water) This time we got most of the teachers wet except a few english teachers and a few teachers that will take the little water joke seriously thou I have to say I can still smell coffee right now after Mr. Morgan emptied all his coffee on my back.. ARGH! haha other then that.. Sophie got around 2 - 3 liters of water on her (poor thing… sorry for that but haha I had to :P) and Laura too :P (haha.. you cant be dry when Sophie is all soaked can u?) then to all other people that I’ve wet — including Rui especially lol.. u didn’t see that coming but I guess you didn’t have to just err.. sorta scream @ me haha .. sorry but it’s the last day! you can’t expect me to say.. OH HI! how are you? and walk off? :P also to all year 12’s, nice water fights.. just great.. buckets and bottles of water are emptied every few seconds (geez, what a waste - think of those people in third world country who need those water for daily living and what r we doing with them? :P ah well) oh yeh before I forgets.. sorry Brittany for pouring water on you then by accident you ran into the pole.. I’m really sorry about that.. Other then that it was just all good I guess :) perfect day for water fight as its nice n warm.

Now to the last assembly.. thou no one saw the “damage” we done to the school but we roughly showed them during assembly of what we did that very morning so that was good.. then the rest of the assembly was just abit emotional and sad I guess.. With our leavers song being WONDERWALL by OASIS and Sarah’s very emotional speech (not mentioning the bit that could lead to a $50,000 fine on me :P) almost got me crying but holding it in wasn’t that hard either :).. The guard of honors (where everyone line up and form a little channel for us to walk) I must say its a very different feeling - its like being a celebrity walking on the red carpet as you go into somewhere.. it’s great but yet embarrassing haha.. all over!

ARGH now this is pissing me off!! Previous years, all students get to chuck water balloons and stuff @ students when they leave but this year they fenced the student up so they couldn’t go beyond half way through the school which was pretty shit, all our water balloon went into waste! ARGH! oh well the water fight was enough so I have nothing much to complain about ;)
Finally, I don’t know what I am doing for the rest of tonight because I simply cant be bothered going out tonight (too tired and just need a break from everything) Also I would like to say that this year have been really great and everything that happened would be in my memories forever and as live go on, we’ll be stronger and I wish all of you the Best Of Luck with whatever you want to achieve and whatever goals you have in life.

Just a quick word before I submit this, I remember last year how much i envy the past year 12 when they leave - I told myself.. man when I leave school its going to be soo mcuh more fun and its just going to be better then staying in this hole but I have to say I AM TOTALLY WRONG! I know how they feel, I know how much some of them wanted to just stay - just like how I feel right now, thou you might think OMG YOU ARE CRAZY! NERD! why would u want yo be @ skul?! but I have to tell you, leaving school may grant you the freedom and the joy you wanted all along but one thing you would be missing out when you are in the “big wide world” is the sense of community and all the friendships between us that we will never once again build up when we get into uni or tafe or the work force.. Carey is such a great place to be and no.. dont argue with me with that because it is a great school despite the little things like (dont have a canteen and some dodgy discpline stuff) other then that its a great place to meet new people and great place to be where you can relate to other people and everyone care for each other.. I am going to stop here because my words cant convience or influence anyone but I know if you think deep down you will know what I mean :)
Take care everyone and I know that I will see some of you very soon (the TEE :P) till then good luck with all your studies and make sure if you are doing TEE .. be prepared for it!! It’s the thing you’ve been planning since you are in year 1 - THE TEE and make sure you don’t give up now that you ruined whole 12 years of planning and hard work..

Kenneth

P/S: you would think i have heaps of photos to show but i guess im one of those people who cant be bothered taking a camera around and take thousands of photos :P haha.. haiz.. a “skill” i need to learn

About time for another entry

Monday, October 24th, 2005

Hmm about time to just write something after 5 days .. Well you would think that i have lots to tell but unfortunately i dont haha.. Last week of school, last week of high school, last week of compulsory schooling, last week of school uniform.. seems like the end of the world but hey! its the end of school.. from next week on im all FREE and yeh.. might be a good thing or a bad thing too :S There are a lot happening this week.. need to get teachers presents.. need to be prepare for thurday night "dinner" and friday - last day of school. Thou i dont think we would hv a "grand" muck up day this year but i dont think its bad either.. @ least the school can spend the 15000 dollar they spent on cleaning up last year on a new canteen or something like that (i swear.. they need a canteen) or mayb they should spend that 15000 dollar on the gym.. for godsake.. it looks sooo dodgy at the moment.. What else.. oh back to saturday.. did my chinese mock (trial exam). I guess i did pretty shit in it but @ the same time i think i've done ok - kenneth's expectation :P. Funny thing in exam there is a strict rule of no communicating but on the day i dont think we've done that at all.. talked through the exam.. asked for words we dont know.. and grr helped people on dictionary :P (you know who ur) Argh.. man i can feel the lameness of this entry now.. all the grammar errors and how everything doesnt fit in nicely.. pieces here and there.. Before i click Submit then regret n cry, i hope that all yr 12's enjoy their last week of schooling and hope things goes well for the last week and yeh :D u know … ;) Thats all for today.. i really dont think that i should submit this.. but ah well Kenneth

Random Wednesday Rant - Emotional..

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

Before I start I should say well done to soph and hana for keeping the school clean ;) haha.. I believed that they stayed @ school until 5.30pm today to clean up the school on a “voluntary” basis (sif) but hey.. I will keep the other side of the story undisclosed and it’s up to them to tell u ;)
Well back to the normal rant.. hmm well I thought I would keep out of bloggin for a few days just for the sake of it but somehow I took out the Term 4 calendar and looked at the list of events for term 4. Suddenly something hit me :S **Last Day For Year 12 Students** - ah you might be thinking OH WHAT A DAY!? School is finishing so soon! No more of this stupid place and all these uniform crap etc but still thinking of leaving a place like this.. thou I am more then happy to leave school to do something more interesting (without the pressure being slipped by Mrs Ryan)

But but but!! Its just sad… leaving all the people.. leaving all the nice teachers.. all the memories.. Ah I don’t know.. soo much to say but yet so little is coming out.. its all in there but not coming out.. there are stuff that words cant describe..

I will leave it here for now as we have another 7 school days left… on the last day I guess that’s when all the emotion will burst free and hell would emerge! lol till then.. take care

Marijuana For Your Brain, Alcohol For Your Heart? + Tuesday’s Rant

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Well, 1st day back at school are usually pretty dodgy and boring as everyone prefer holidays I would say, however today seems to be pretty pleasent and I was quite happy maybe because of getting back mock (exams) results and yeh.. I was proud at myself.. did resonably well for my standards thou I wont come up with any figures but all I can say is .. big improvemnt for me and now I believe in “Hard Work Pays Off” haha..

Sports againts the year 11 today was rather.. scarey haha.. well not exactly scarey but just that half of our team cant exactly play beach volleyball so we got our arse KICKED.. lost all 4 games.. oh well i guess it’s not about winning but its about the team work and the determination and the fun :P hehe.. (ok that was just to make me feel better about losing all 4 games :P - moving right along)

I think thats enough of my daily rant.. I would like to share something interesting james found today ;) (thanks james)

Marijuana For Your Brain, Alcohol For Your Heart?

Two papers coincidentally announced on the same day raise interesting questions about some of society’s favorite drugs. The first paper suggests that alcohol acts as a blood thinner, thus showing the mechanism behind the well-established ability of moderate alcohol consumption to lower rates of heart disease. The other paper suggests that cannabinoids can actually cause the growth of new brain cells and reduce anxiety and depression.

But yeh, Marijuana for your brain.. Alcohol for your heart.. well I have to agree with the moderate consumption of alcohol does help the circulation of blood in our body but I dont think I can accept the fact that marijiana can cause growth of a new brain cells which would reduce anxiety and depression.. of course anything consumed under moderation will hv it’s benifit but I will leave those research to the experts and wait for any further news or result they come up with :)
Till then.. DONT consume marijuana under any circumstances :P (just my $0.02)

TEE Examiners’ Reports - 2004

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

Well, I found a few things that might be very useful for TEE and even better if you have some past year papers that you need some answers or marking keys to. They map out every single questions or key areas to look at and comments about each question.

The examiners’ reports are in Portable Document Format (PDF). To view them, you need to have a PDF reader installed. To obtain a copy of Adobe’s PDF reader, click here to download.

Download them by clicking on the respective files/subject attached below this post. Trust me! they are useful and even if you think they are not after you have read them, it is still worth reading.
